MUW readers Gaby, Andrew, and Tyler send word that UWS women’s clothing retailer WiNK has closed their location at 188 Columbus (between 68th & 69th) for renovations. Hopefully these are “real” renovations, and not the fake kind stores put up signs for before permanently closing.

It was big news last week that two people were struck by trains at the 72nd Street 1/2/3 subway station (coverage here, here, and here). It now appears as though it’s possible a third person was hit by an uptown 1 train at the 59th Street/Columbus Circle station late on Thursday night.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is returning to the Upper West Side tomorrow, running through 2/16. The celebrate, the Lincoln Center Business Improvement District is once again organizing “Fashion Place Prix Fixe.” Just like last fall, 25 restaurants located in and around Lincoln Center are participating with a variety of dining discounts.
