If you woke up today craving a street fair, you’re in luck (you’re also in luck if you were craving Mamapalooza 2013). The 29th Annual Amsterdam Avenue Festival hits the Upper West Side today, although the weather is certainly less than appealing at the moment.

There’s some action brewing at the old Cardeology space at 452 Amsterdam (81st/82nd) — a new store called Treat House is gearing up to open. It’s billed as “the first crisped rice treat emporium.”

Upper West Side Openings, Closings & Relocations: Barney’s, Brandy Melville, Good Enough To Eat

Posted back in March that the Barney’s Co-Op at 2151 Broadway (between 75th & 76th) is slated to undergo a renovation and re-branding. As you can see in the photo above, that process has begun.

Wrote last month that the “For Rent” signs at the long-vacant Georgia’s Cafe space had been taken down (2418 Broadway, at 89th). Now there’s some more information: A restaurant called Cibo e Vino – cibo is Italian for “food” — is applying for a liquor license at the space.
