I’ve previously posted on a city proposal that would significantly alter Upper West Side commercial zoning laws (here and here). It’s admittedly not the sexiest topic, [...]

This week’s “unattainable” apartment was first featured on MUW back in April of 2010. At the time, it was listed for sale at $32 million. After finally selling earlier this year for $22.4 million, the mansion at 247 Central Park West is now being listed as a rental, available for the low, low price of [...]

Zoning law
Two weeks ago I posted about a public hearing on a city proposal to significantly alter Upper West Side commercial zoning laws. The goal is to curb the proliferation of banks and chain-stores while protecting smaller businesses and mom-&-pop stores. Today, the New York Times delved into the subject — it’s an informative piece and [...]

Most Yankees fans will tell you that Derek Jeter’s “flip” was the best in team history, but (former?) Upper West Sider Alex Rodriguez just made a pretty nice flip of his own. He recently sold his 35th floor condo at The Rushmore (80 Riverside Boulevard, at 64th) for a “significant profit.” A-Rod purchased the apartment [...]
