Posted last Wednesday that Piccolo Cafe is opening an UWS outpost at 311-313 Amsterdam (between 74th & 75th). Word is the official opening will be on Monday (5/14), but there’s a soft opening event this Friday that’s open to the public and will include include lots of free samples.

It’s been almost exactly a year since news first broke that Sugar & Plumm would be opening a store on the UWS at 377 Amsterdam (corner of 78th). I’m on a different continent at the moment, but weather.com tells me it’s going to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the low-60s today. Seems like perfectly good conditions for an UWS street fair, and there are two of them today:
