Posted on Friday about a court order stopping the 10th Annual Broadway Bomb skateboarding event that was slated to start on the Upper West Side on Saturday. Despite the court ruling and a large presence by the NYPD, may skaters turned out and made the 8+ mile trek south — no arrests were reported.

A little short notice on these (they need to be purchased before tomorrow morning), but two deals of note for fitness types tonight: one for runners, and one for cheap cycling or TRX classes:
If you’re the running type, there’s a cheap ($10) timed 5K race in Riverside Park tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm (Wednesday, 5/30). There’s a chance of showers earlier in the day, but it looks like it should be decent by the evening.
So this is admittedly somewhat last-minute for something like this, but frequent MUW tipster David H. just passed it along and I figure it might be of interest to someone. If you’re the running type, there’s a timed 5K race in Riverside Park tonight at 7:00 pm. Certainly seems like perfect weather for it.
