TUESDAY: “Yankee Miracles” Book Event At UWS Barnes & Noble With Former Yankee All-Stars Roy White & Mickey Rivers

Great event at the Upper West Side Barnes & Noble on Tuesday night (10/9) if you’re a fan of the New York Yankees.
Author, and longtime Yankees adviser, Ray Negron will be joined by former Yankee all-stars Roy White and Mickey Rivers (aka “Mick The Quick”) as he discusses his new book Yankee Miracles: Life With The Boss & The Bronx Bombers.
The event starts at 7:00 pm — B&N is located at 2289 Broadway (at 82nd):
Ray Negron is joined by former baseball players Mickey Rivers and Roy White to discuss life with the legendary Yankees and Negron’s personal story as told in his memoir, Yankee Miracles.
As I lifelong, die-hard Yankee fan, I’ve heard and read Mr. Negron’s name for years.
George Steinbrenner caught him vandalizing Yankee Stadium as a teenager back in 1973. Rather than press changes, Mr. Steinbrenner put Negron to work as a bat boy during that night’s game — that begin a nearly 40 year friendship between the two and a lifelong career for Mr. Negron.
I read a fantastic profile about Mr. Negron years ago. I thought it was in the the New York Times, but I just spent some time searching their archives and can’t find it.
This newsmax.com post will have to suffice for now. It has some details on Mr. Negron’s history with the Yankees, including a video interview that I’ve embedded below.
