Posted last Thursday about the fire that broke out in Ollie’s Noodle Shop on Broadway and blanketed a huge chunk of the West 60s in smoke. At the time, it was reported that Ollie’s (1991 Broadway, between 67th & 68th) would be closed “indefinitely.” Well, “indefinitely” has been changed to “permanently.”

Posted last month that Cocina Economica Mexico (452 Amsterdam, between 81st & 82nd) had finally opened up in the former Recipe space (same owners — they also own neighboring Land Thai). They recently posted their menu online and DNAinfo had a brief write-up on the restaurant earlier this week, including a slew of photos.
