Wrote a couple of weeks ago that a “mystery” juice bar was going to open at the former Tasti D-Lite space at 2345 Broadway (85th/86th). Branding went up earlier today on the plywood surrounding the space and the mystery is no more: Juice Generation is moving in.

The new Lululemon slated for the corner of Broadway & 75th has been in the works February. Branded plywood went up in late May, and now there’s word the store is just a few weeks from opening.

Looks like Drybar is opening a new outpost on the Upper West Side. If you’re not familiar with the chain, don’t walk in expecting a drink — it’s a “blow dry bar.” No cuts. No color. Just blowouts, for only $40.

Things are heating up at the Betsey Johnson liquidation sale (248 Columbus, between 71st & 72nd). It was just last week that they raised their discounts to 50% – 70% off. As of this weekend, the entire store is now 60% – 80% off.

The Betsey Johnson liquidation sale is still in full swing and the discounts have just been jacked up another notch. They started last month with 20% – 50% off, were raised to 40% – 60% about two weeks ago, and now the entire store stands at 50% – 70% off.

Looks like there’s some pre-opening action at the former Roam Boutique space at 488 Amsterdam (between 83rd & 84th). Roam closed earlier this year after seven years in the neighborhood.

Posted last month that Betsey Johnson is closing and having a liquidation sale. At the time, discounts were 20% – 40%; they’ve since been jacked up to 40% – 60% off.

Looks like there’s finally some action brewing in the former 90 Nuts space at 2442 Broadway (near 90th), which has been vacant for awhile.

Catching up on some news that piled up while I was traveling. Women’s clothing retailer Betsey Johnson filed for bankruptcy protection last month and will be closing all its stores. The upshot for Upper West Siders is that there’s now a 20% – 50%-off liquidation sale at the 248 Columbus location (between 71st & 72nd).
