It’s been about three weeks since Pinkberry opened at 414 Amsterdam (near 80th). In another month or two, a Yogurtland will open about 100 feet north at 420 Amsterdam, the long-vacant space that use to house 420 Bar & Lounge.
Wrote back in April that Pinkberry was headed to the former Savann space a 414 Amsterdam (between 79th & 80th). Word came last month that they were aiming to open in June and they’ve managed to hit that target — the store opened earlier this week.
There’s some action brewing at the old Cardeology space at 452 Amsterdam (81st/82nd) — a new store called Treat House is gearing up to open. It’s billed as “the first crisped rice treat emporium.”

Amsterdam Avenue is chock full ‘o restaurants — some good, others not so much. Blanca over at FriendEat.com recently reviewed Savann, a Turkish restaurant at 414 Amsterdam (between 79th & 80th). The verdict? “Unassumingly delicious” and “highly recommended.”
