Mentioned about two weeks that “The Best Chocolate Cake In The World” was opening an Upper West Side location.
They must have finally figured out how obnoxious the name was, because they’ve re-branded themselves as “Choco Bolo,” which is Americanized-Portuguese (the bakery was founded in Lisbon) for “chocolate cake.”

Cupcake lovers rejoice — the Upper West Side is getting yet another cupcake shop/bakery.

The Real Deal is reporting that Tumi has signed a lease for 1,000 sf at the Apthorp (Broadway, between 78th & 79th) and is targeting a fall opening. Thanks to @UWSn8 for the tip.
Little known fact: “Tumi” comes from the Latin word for “overpriced.”
