Police are on the hunt for a man accused of trying to rape a 24-year-old woman during daylight hours in Riverside Park.

Tragic and disturbing story this morning of an Upper West Side woman who was the victim of a completely senseless crime. Prominent real estate agent and philanthropist Marion Hedges was struck in the head with a shopping cart thrown by two 12-year-old boys from an elevated pedestrian bridge.

This story kind of got buried by Irene, but police are looking for a violent mugger who targets elderly men. He’s wanted in at least five attacks so far, several of which have occurred in or around subway stations.
