A pair of “person vs. car” traffic accidents on the UWS over the weekend left a pizza delivery man seriously injured and a 75-year-old pedestrian dead. The fatality is being treated as a hit-and-run and police are searching for a suspect.

UPDATE 5/21: New details emerge; Victim apparently hurled himself from a moving taxi Not many details on this, but DNAinfo reports a 21-year-old man was struck by a car at Columbus & 72nd early this morning. The accident occurred around 5:00 am and the victim was taken to the hospital in “traumatic arrest.”

Scary photo from MUW reader Amy, who sent this in just a little while ago. The accident took place on Riverside Drive & 113th. No word on injuries, although @Breaking911 reports “all occupants out of the vehicle.”
