MUW reader Amal stopped by the Steve Guttenberg book event last night and sent in this photo of her with The Goot. Amal reports that Guttenberg said hello to her mom on the phone (“she was embarrassingly excited”), and added this:

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty is filming in the neighborhood today, taking up a pretty large swath of the UWS. I’m not sure who’s on the set, but the cast includes Ben Stiller (he’s also directing), Kristen Wiig, Sean Penn, Josh Charles, Patton Oswalt, and Shirley MacLaine to name a few.

  Posted yesterday that Dan Rather is speaking on the UWS tonight, which seems like a perfect segue to do a post that features the woman who replaced him as anchor of CBS Evening News — Katie Couric.
