If you’re looking to get some shopping in this weekend, just a quick reminder that there are three different closing/going-out-of-business/liquidation sales taking place on the Upper West Side right now:

Mentioned in November that the Gap located at 2373 Broadway (corner of 86th) was not renewing their lease — it’s one of 189 Gaps around the country that is being shuttered.
At the time of the post there was no specific date, but MUW reader Kevin e-mailed earlier today saying the store will be closing January [...]

Looks like the Syms/Filene’s Basement liquidation sale is officially on its last legs. While it was originally supposed to to run through January, it now appears tomorrow (Thursday, 12/29) will be their last day.
The Syms is now officially closed, and the entire remaining inventory at Filene’s is marked down 80%. Bridal gown were marked down [...]

Looks like we’re heading into the final days of the Syms & Filene’s Basement liquidation sale.
It was supposed to run through January, but a sign that went up last night indicates there are only 10 days left. The store has expanded holiday hours from now through 12/24:

Looks like the Screme Gelato at 2030 Broadway (between 69th & 70th) is temporarily closed.
