Judging by what I can see on the sidewalks, many people have already disposed of their Christmas trees. That said, I know more than a few of you still have yours.
If you’re looking for an environmentally sound way to get rid of you tree, take note of the TreeCycle program from The Riverside Park Fund.

Hydrofracking (short for hydraulic fracturing) is a pretty big buzz word these days.
I don’t profess to know much about it beyond what I learned from a quick Google search, but it’s relevant to the Upper West Side because there’s a “Speak Out On Hydrofracking” forum in the neighborhood on Wednesday evening.
