Posted back in March that the Barney’s Co-Op at 2151 Broadway (between 75th & 76th) is slated to undergo a renovation and re-branding. As you can see in the photo above, that process has begun.

Looks like big changes are coming to the Upper West Side Barneys Co-Op at 2151 Broadway (between 75th & 76th). It’s losing the “Co-Op” designation and will become “regular” Barneys. Aside from renovations, the biggest change is that the store will no longer carry any men’s items.

UPDATE 1/8/13: Looks like this is indeed related to Ollie’s Noodle Shop. The ONS at 1991 Broadway recently closed due to fire and a sign in the window is directing customers to Hiro Sushi @ Ollie’s. It’s becoming harder to get your sugar fix on the Upper West Side these days. Yesterday came word that Choco Bolo (temporarily) closed. Now it looks like the UWS Grom Gelato is no more (2165 Broadway, btw. 76th/77th). MUW reader Kimberly snapped the photo above, showing the popular store closed for good yesterday.

The new Lululemon slated for the corner of Broadway & 75th has been in the works February. Branded plywood went up in late May, and now there’s word the store is just a few weeks from opening.
