Julian Kurita, the man found guilty of murdering — and nearly decapitating — his 70-year-old father in their Upper West Side apartment back in July 2010, was finally sentenced yesterday. The sentencing is the final chapter of the sad and horrific case.

Posted last month about the trial of Julian Kurita, an Upper West Sider who was accused of hacking his father to death in July 2010 in the apartment they shared at 175 W. 87th (at Amsterdam). For those of you who follow this sort of thing, Kurita was found guilty of murder yesterday.
