There’s some action brewing at the old Cardeology space at 452 Amsterdam (81st/82nd) — a new store called Treat House is gearing up to open. It’s billed as “the first crisped rice treat emporium.”

Had a slew of posts last month about the ongoing saga (Are they open? Are they closed?) at The Purple Fig (250 W. 72nd). If you lost track of things, they reopened in late-September with a new menu. Apparently they also have new management (thanks to @ManhattanMingle for the photo).

Posted all the way back in February that a kosher/Middle-Eastern restaurant called Grill 212 was opening at 212 W. 80th (between Broadway & Amsterdam). It took a little longer than expected, but they finally opened for business last Thursday.

Mentioned the new UWS location of Berrylicious last night (641 Amsterdam, at 91st). If you’re looking for a good excuse to try them out, how about a free 25% off coupon as encouragement?

Looks like the Upper West Side is getting another kosher/Middle-Eastern dining option. Grill 212 has put up a banner announcing their impending arrival to the neighborhood.

Mentioned yesterday that the recently opened Chocolate Works was giving out free samples. I just spoke to someone there who said that will continue through the weekend.
