The Zagat people are fond of “Top 8″ lists and I’m fond of posting all things Upper West Side related… so it’s worth mentioning that Luke’s Lobster (426 Amsterdam, between 80th & 81st) made their recent “New York’s Eight Best Seafood Restaurants” write up.

Luke’s Lobster (426 Amsterdam, between 80th & 81st) is celebrating their new beer license with 1/2 price brews all day Friday and Saturday. In keeping with their “all-Maine-all-the-time” theme, they’re rolling out a beer menu with four of Maine’s best microbrews: Allagash White ($3.50): Maine’s take on Belgian witbier, the white is light but more [...]
The legendary Rod Stewart was spotted on the Upper West Side last week. My Upper West tipster reports seeing the singer having lunch at Landmarc (Time Warner Center, Columbus Circle) with wife Penny and baby carriage in tow. Also spotted recently was Kelsey Grammer. The 15 Central Park West resident who has been house-hunting in [...]

The restaurant, which was just reported as coming soon to Amsterdam and 80th on December 7th, opened yesterday, offering the same menu as the other [...]

Back in October, we reported that building permits were up at the old Metro Theater (Broadway between 99th and 100th). Now, it seems more official that the space won’t remain empty much longer. Upper West Side Style (via Racked) reports that the space will soon be “the Galleria at Metro Theater” with 60-250 square foot [...]
