Posted back in February that tickets for the the 5th Annual “New Taste Of The Upper West Side” food festival were on sale. I have literally no idea where the past three months have gone, but we’re now just a day away from what’s probably the Upper West Side’s “signature” event. If you haven’t bought [...]
It’s getting to be that time of year again — tickets for the 5th annual New Taste Of The Upper West Side are officially on sale today. If you’re not familiar with it, New Taste is a fantastic neighborhood food festival that brings together a veritable “Who’s Who” of Upper West Side chefs and restaurateurs [...]
After months of work, celebrity chef Maria Loi’s eponymous Greek restaurant finally opened a few weeks ago (previous coverage here, here, here, here, here, & here). Loi is located in the former Compass space at 208 W. 70th (between Amsterdam & West End). MUW reader Jen Maguire Coughlin recently had a chance to dine there [...]

Grub Street must have had their spies on the Upper West Side working overtime this past weekend, because they had a trifecta of tips yesterday regarding neighborhood openings: Spring Street Natural, the “37-year-old Soho vegetarian-friendly restaurant,” is scheduled to open an Upper West Side outpost this fall at 474-476 Columbus (former Columbus Bakery spot) called [...]
