Posted last month that Fratelli la Bufala was slated to open on March 27th. That date came and went without any activity, but now the wait is really just about over. I attended a preview event at the restaurant this afternoon and, barring the unforeseen, they’ll be open for business starting on Friday (4/27).

Posted back in December about an early-morning fire that ripped through Georgia’s Cafe & Bakery (2418 Broadway, at 89th) — they’ve been closed ever since. Staff had originally said they planned to reopen “soon” after the fire, but it looks like that won’t be the case, as “For Rent” signage went up yesterday.
