The Black Eyed Peas’ concert originally scheduled for June went off without a hitch on Friday night, despite some rain showers. If you weren’t one of the lucky 54,000 to score a free ticket, here’s a YouTube video of their performance of “I Gotta Feeling.” A few other videos for those of you who are [...]

After a couple of months of uncertainty, it looks like the Black Eyed Peas Concert 4 NYC that was rained (er, “lightninged”) out in June is back on. It’s now scheduled for Friday, September 30.

While I’m sure it’s of little consolation to the 60,000+ people that didn’t get to hear them, it turns out that the Black Eyed Peas DID perform last night, albeit to a very small crowd. I got this e-mail from MUW reader Scott with the details:

@Saserella captured this crazy photo of the mob scene on 72nd & Central Park West yesterday as thousands of New Yorkers tried to get into Central Park for the free Black Eyed Peas concert. If you haven’t already heard, the concert was canceled. No word yet on whether or not it will be rescheduled.

What a shit show. With all the lighting, it makes perfect sense to cancel the concert. What I don’t get is how no one saw this coming. At 7:27 pm @RobinHoodNYC (event sponsor) tweeted “Thank you all for being so patient at the #Concert4NYC ! Doors are still set to open at 7:30 with the [...]

If you’re trying to get in Central Park you may already know this, but due to the impending downpour and electrical storm the opening of the gates has been pushed back to 7:30, with the concert now scheduled for 8:30 pm. UPDATE @ 7:47 pm: Doors open at 7:45, show at 8:45. This is all [...]

If you were lucky enough to win free tickets to the Black Eyed Peas’ benefit concert in Central Park, tomorrow is the big day. And with the forecast calling for a heat index over 100 degrees, the timing couldn’t be better! DNAinfo has news that Taylor Swift will be joining BEP on stage. Other performers [...]

I mentioned on Saturday that registration for free tickets to the June 9th “Concert 4 NYC” in Central Park begins on Wednesday (tomorrow) — here’s your reminder. There’s a huge push to make this a massive event and 54,000 tickets are being given away for free. All you have to do is visit this site [...]
