If you live in the southern part of the Upper West Side and are jealous of the Baked By Melissa that opened at 2325 Broadway (between 84th & 85th) in October, you can now rest easy — you’re getting one a bit closer to home.

Posted on Monday that the Upper West Side will be getting a 24-hour cupcake “ATM” later this year. Judging by the response from readers, this thing is going to be an uber-success. One of these machines is up-and-running in Los Angeles and there’s already video of it in action.

Posted back in October that Irving Farm Coffee Company was opening an outpost on the Upper West Side. Things have been quiet since then, but they’ve started to heat up recently — the tell-tale “Coming Soon” signage is now hanging outside their future home at 224 West 79th (between Broadway & Amsterdam).
