Attention Upper West Side beer lovers: On Tap — the specialty beer shop that opened at the Time Warner Center Whole Foods back in 2011 — is hosting “Thirsty Thursdays” every week in April (starting tomorrow, 4/4). Each evening will feature free samples from local breweries.

Looks like Hugo Boss is slowly taking over the Shops at Columbus Circle. The store is about to become the first retailer in the Time Warner Center to span three floors.

UPDATE 4/16/13: Looks like Birch will be opening on April 30 If you live anywhere near Columbus & 96th, you’ve probably seen the “Coming Soon” signage for Birch Coffee — it’s been been up since August. Finally got an update on this space and it looks like they’re planning to open in February.

It’s becoming harder to get your sugar fix on the Upper West Side these days. Yesterday came word that Choco Bolo (temporarily) closed. Now it looks like the UWS Grom Gelato is no more (2165 Broadway, btw. 76th/77th). MUW reader Kimberly snapped the photo above, showing the popular store closed for good yesterday.

Posted yesterday that H&M opened their new UWS store this morning at the Time Warner Center. Tomorrow morning (Friday, 11/16) they’re giving away gift cards ranging in value from $10 – $500 to the first 100 customers.

  It’s been almost a year since upscale consignment shop Second Time Around opened their first UWS store at 2624 Broadway (between 99th & 100th) last October. They’re now opening a second location a little further south in the neighborhood.

Posted back in March about the C. Wonder flagship store slated for the Time Warner Center. I’ve been a bit negligent with follow-up posts, but the store is having its official grand opening this weekend.
