Posted last Sunday that “designer off-price” store Fox’s was moving into the long-vacant former Syms space at 2232 Broadway (corner of 80th). The turnaround between the signage going up and the store actually opening is one of the fastest I’ve seen — Fox’s opened for business yesterday (Saturday, 11/17).
UPDATE 10/1: Turns out this is NOT a new Tasti D-Lite. The one on Broadway has closed and is relocating to the space pictured above sometime in October. Looks like the neighborhood is getting a new Tasti D-Lite — it will be the fourth location on the UWS. Oddly, this one is opening barely a [...]
Posted back in March about the C. Wonder flagship store slated for the Time Warner Center. I’ve been a bit negligent with follow-up posts, but the store is having its official grand opening this weekend. To celebrate, they’re hosting two days of festivities, including gift card giveaways, prizes, games, refreshments, a DJ, and more.
I’ve spent the past three days speculating that The Purple Fig had closed for good (here, here & here). It turned out to be as unproductive as speculation usually is… Looks like Purple Fig will indeed be reopening.
UPDATE 12/2: LeSportsac is open, but it’s only a pop-up shop… for now UPDATE 11/20: LeSportsac is moving into the former Betsey Johnson space UPDATE 7/23: Betsey Johnson officially closed as of Sunday The liquidation sale at the Upper West Side Betsey Johnson (248 Columbus, between 71st & 72nd) started nearly two months ago, with [...]
Things are heating up at the Betsey Johnson liquidation sale (248 Columbus, between 71st & 72nd). It was just last week that they raised their discounts to 50% – 70% off. As of this weekend, the entire store is now 60% – 80% off.
The Betsey Johnson liquidation sale is still in full swing and the discounts have just been jacked up another notch. They started last month with 20% – 50% off, were raised to 40% – 60% about two weeks ago, and now the entire store stands at 50% – 70% off.
Posted last month that Betsey Johnson is closing and having a liquidation sale. At the time, discounts were 20% – 40%; they’ve since been jacked up to 40% – 60% off.
Catching up on some news that piled up while I was traveling. Women’s clothing retailer Betsey Johnson filed for bankruptcy protection last month and will be closing all its stores. The upshot for Upper West Siders is that there’s now a 20% – 50%-off liquidation sale at the 248 Columbus location (between 71st & 72nd).
Mentioned in February that the former All Bright Trading Company space at 2659 Broadway (corner of 101st) was being gutted. It has now reopened at Variazioni, a women’s clothing boutique.
Two quick Upper West Side discounts that might be of interest to some:
Mentioned last week that the Chase at 2139 Broadway (corner of 75th) has closed. As I wrote in that post, this is only interesting in that there is now vacant space on a prime Broadway corner and there is already construction taking place inside. And now we officially have our first rumor as to what’s [...]
