If you’re one of those who thinks the neighborhood is losing its charm and being overrun by banks and mega-chains, you’ll be interested in a recent story by @ReporterLeslie about proposed zoning rules that would limit the amount of streetfront space that banks could use along Broadway, Columbus and Amsterdam avenues.

Going from “proposal” to “law” is a HUGE step, and I’m not sure how this would affect banks that are already in place, but it’s a quick read about an issue that many people seem to have strong feelings about.
