UWS Photo Of The Day: Taxi Vs. Fire — Cab Engulfed In Flames On Columbus Avenue Last Night

Well here’s something you don’t see every day:
A New York City taxi cab engulfed in a ball of fire on Columbus Avenue.
MUW readers Melissa and Johnny Scats sent in these photos (Melissa above, Johnny below) of the mysterious UWS taxi inferno that took place around 7:00 pm last night on Columbus, between 84th & 85th. Per Melissa:
This is shot from the window at Tale Thai on Columbus Ave. We all looked up and suddenly the taxi was engulfed. The driver got out safely.
No word on what caused the fire, but it appears as though there were no injuries.
So we can now add “Taxi vs. Fire” to the ever-expanding list of recent cab incidents on the Upper West Side…
