cp-film-festivalThe Central Park Conservancy has announced a new location, along with a great lineup of movies, for this year’s Central Park Conservancy Film Festival.  The festival, taking place from Tuesday, August 24th to Saturday, August 28th this year, brings free movies to the heart of Manhattan, and this year, New York’s iconic skyline, buildings, and neighborhoods take center stage.  The “Iconic New York” theme will include classics like Saturday Night Fever and King Kong.  Also, keeping tradition with previous years, the festival concludes with a Viewers’ Choice night, where you can vote for either Serendipity or Manhattan on WABC-TV’s website by August 15th, and the winner will be screened.  This year, the festival is moving from SummerStage to the landscape north of Sheep Meadow, behind Mineral Springs (mid-park at 69th).  Check out the full schedule of films below.
