UPDATE 8/11: Photo Of The Day

If you’re wandering through Central Park tonight and pass by, oh, 500 or so people jogging in their underwear, rest assured that everything is normal.

It’s just another Friday night on the Upper West Side.

The Jamaica Underwear Run has become an annual event that takes place the evening before the NYC Triathlon. It’s 1.7 miles of of people running in their skivvies, the only rule of sorts being “no thongs.”

Neil Genzlinger of the The Times has a nice, quick read on his “training” for the run.
