30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski to Perform for UWS School Fundraiser
DNAinfo reports that actress Jane Krakowski will put her star power to good in a performance that will benefit an Upper West Side school. Krakowski, who currently stars as the hilariously egotistical actress Jenna on 30 Rock, will headline a benefit tomorrow night called “Reading, Writing & Cabaret” for P.S. 84, also known as the Lillian Weber School for the Arts (92nd between Columbus and Central Park West). She will join Broadway performers Kerry Butler (Hairspray, Xanadu), Kate Baldwin (The Full Monty) and Graham Rowat (Beauty and the Beast) for an evening of music, cocktails, and silent and live auctions. Krakowski has vested interest in the public school partly because she is an old friend of P.S. 84 parents Carol and Michael Kosarin, who was the musical director for Krakowski’s cabaret show and album. Tickets for the event start at $100 each and can be purchased through P.S. 84′s website.
Sunday, January 23rd, 2011, 7:00 pm, $100 (individual ticket), $250 (front row seat with performer meet & greet)
Ailey Citigroup Theater, 55th between 9th and 10th
