It’s a little outside the borders of the Upper West Side, but close enough to note… A massive fire ripped through the North River Wastewater Treatment plant, at 725 W. 135th St, around 12 pm today, forcing the evacuation of Riverbanks State Park and the temporary closure of the West Side Highway from 125th to 153rd.
NY1 reports one worker and two firemen suffered minor injuries — they’ve got a short video package as well. DNAinfo has some additional reporting, photos, and information.
