The 41st season of Lincoln Center’s Out Of Doors Festival kicks off today, signaling 19 days of more than 100 free music and dance performances across a variety of genres. This is a great annual event for the city general, and the Upper West Side specifically.

Today’s performances include:

• Billy Bragg: The Big Busk (also featuring The Black Earth Boys & Juldeh Camara) — Interesting event… in addition to a performance at 7:30 pm at the Damrosch Bandshell (62nd, between Amsterdam & Columbus), anyone who plays guitar is invited to come out and play at locations throughout Lincoln Center’s plazas. • Eiki & Koma: Water — The world premier of this site-specific, interdisciplinary dance/music performance will take place at 9:30 pm at the Paul Milstein Pool/Hearst Plaza (behind Avery Fisher Hall and in front of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. It can be accessed from Josie Roberston Plaza on Columbus & 64th and from West 65th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.)
