A-Rod Becomes an Upper West Sider
New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez is now neighbors with a long list of celebrities and wealthy elite after moving into the high-end apartment building at 15 Central Park West, according to the New York Daily News. The baseball star has moved into a 2-bedroom pied-a-terre according to the article, dropping a cool $30,000 per month for the pad after being beaten to the $40,000 per month, 3-bedroom apartment next door. Rodriguez joins other stars and well-known figures currently residing in the building, from actor Denzel Washington (who owns a $12 million condo) to sportscaster Bob Costas (who owns an $11 million 8th-floor unit) to singer Sting to Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein. The building is one of the most sought-after places in the city for real estate and features super-sized rooms, a 75-foot lap pool, a lavish wine cellar, a Hollywood-style screening room, a private dining room and a private driveway that keeps the paparazzi out.
