Bar Boulud’s Expansion Progress

bar-boulud-expansion bar-boulud-cb7 Bar Boulud, Daniel Boulud’s newest restaurant at Broadway and 64th, is in the process of expanding their space to the area next door, and from the looks of it, the expansion may occur by summer. The space next door was formerly occupied by a Chase Bank branch (several branches in the area combined to form a large Chase Bank on Broadway and 62nd), and was emptied late last year to prepare for the Bar Boulud expansion. Although activity has been at a minimum for a few months, there is now a Community Board 7 public hearing scheduled for Tuesday to expand the restaurant’s outdoor patio space. If we had to guess, an approval of an unenclosed patio permit would lead to an opening for the warm months this year. Keep your eyes open on the space for its progress, or attend the CB7 meeting on Tuesday to see if any new info comes out about Bar Boulud’s expansion.
