Baron Conference to Showcase Surprise Star

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

baron-funds1Each fall, investors in the investment fund Baron Funds gather in New York City for the free Annual Baron Investment Conference.  The conference brings out CEOs of various companies in which Baron Funds is a shareholder to discuss the prospects of their companies.  Investors have a chance to “kick the tires” of their Baron Funds investment.  Before your eyes start glazing over, however, this conference offers a special opportunity.  A “surprise” guest makes an appearance at the end of the day, and it’s always somebody intended to knock investors’ socks off.  Past conferences have featured surprise entertainment like Jerry Seinfeld, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Cher, Billy Crystal, Bette Midler, and Paul Simon.  Last year’s conference alone brought out Faith Hill, Jerry Seinfeld, Jessica Simpson, and the stars of Broadway’s South Pacific and Gypsy for performances.  Judging from last year’s lineup, this year’s entertainment will likely not disappoint.  While the conference is free, registration is required, and priority is given to shareholders.
