Time Warner Cable hosted an event last weekend to celebrate the Caribbean World Series on the Upper West Side, and local kids got a chance to have a fun afternoon meeting baseball greats.  Baseball legend Bernie Williams and baseball Hall of Famer Juan Marichal joined famous radio DJ and Master of Ceremonies JI Starr at The Baseball Center (74th between Broadway and Amsterdam) as they conducted baseball clinics with kids from Inwood Little League kids and distributed autographed baseballs.  In addition, Time Warner made a donation of athletic equipment such as catcher’s gear, a batting cage and a pitching machine to the Inwood Little League, and attendees enjoyed ESPN Deportes’ viewing of the Caribbean World Series’ Mexico vs. Dominican Republic to wrap up Saturday’s event.  Check out more photos of the stars at the event and the afternoon celebrating baseball at the Mi Cultura Facebook page.
