Bastille Day, the national celebration in France, takes place next Wednesday, July 14th, and some French spots on the Upper West Side plan to fête the holiday with food, drinks, and fun.  First, come to the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle where Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery (3rd floor) will host a Bastille Day celebration.  Enjoy a tasting menu of traditional French-Boulangerie fare paired with the lively sounds of Kathleen Landis and quartet.  From savory Mergeuz with Baguette to Moules au Safran to fresh oysters on the half shell, enjoy a variety of delicious French food.  In addition, Bouchon will serve up wine and champagne, and to end the evening, sweeten up with Chocolate Crêpes, Fraisier and macarons.  The event, starting at 7:00 pm, is $65, all inclusive.  Go to the Circle of Taste website to purchase tickets.

Another Bastille Day celebration takes place at Bistro Ten 18 (Amsterdam at 110th).  The eatery will serve a three course prix fixe menu for $40 per person, beginning with Frisée aux Lardon (frisée salad, bacon lardons, poached egg and sherry Dijon vinaigrette).  The second course will be Cassoulet white bean stew with duck confit, pork belly and garlic sausage, and the third course is a selection of French cheeses which includes Cremeaux de Borgogne, Boucheron, Cantalet, and Bleu d’Auvergne.  On parie que c’est délicieux! Call 212.662.7600 to make a reservation.
