DNAinfo reports that the Central Park Zoo (east side of the park, near 64th) has a new resident.  Bruiser, the 90-pound California sea lion born in the Bronx Zoo last year, joins fellow sea lions April and Scooter at the zoo.  While he is gaining 2 to 3 pounds a week, he still has a ways to go, as sea lions can get up to 900 pounds in their adulthood.  Bruiser is acclimating well and has begun basic sea lion enrichment and training.  You can see the enrichment session in action, taking place daily at 11:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm at the zoo.  Check out the zoo’s hours and information at the Central Park Zoo website.
