MEOOOOOOW!!

The New York Post has the story of two Upper West Side women who apparently got into a fight over frozen vegan Pad Thai (with tofu!) at Trader Joe’s in January. The case went to court today.

Marcella Caprario admits to slapping Dr. Cathleen London in the face, so that’s not really the issue at hand. Says her lawyer, Mark Bederow: “Not that we’re condoning slapping people, but this was justified, reasonable force.”

This is actually one of the more ridiculous stories I’ve come across in a while and my head almost exploded while trying to summarize it. It involves London’s teenage son allegedly using a shopping cart to block Caprario’s husband from reaching the the tasty Thai delight in question. Supposedly the husband made a comment about the kid not saying excuse me, to which London allegedly responded “He’s just a child! Get that pole out of your ass!” The Caprarios claim that London then charged them, resulting in Marcella Caprario’s slap to London’s face.

Oy. Vey.
