Central Park Film Festival Continues Nightly through Saturday
Although rain has dampened the first half of this year’s Central Park Conservancy Film Festival, weather for the remainder of the week is looking up, so take an evening and head to the lawn north of Sheep Meadow (mid-park near 69th) and catch a classic New York City flick. Tonight, the festival continues with the 1977 John Travolta classic, Saturday Night Fever. Tomorrow, disaster strikes New York in the 1933 version of King Kong. Finally, the viewers’ choice film, Woody Allen’s iconic Manhattan, screens on Saturday. Although rain is less likely for the remainder of the week, the screenings are rain or shine, starting at 8:00 pm each evening. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
