central-park-runningThe weather is looking nice these days, so head to Central Park this weekend to get some exercise and enjoy the fresh air.  Saturday morning kicks off with another New York Road Runners race.  The Fitness Magazine Mind, Body + Spirit Games take place starting at 9:00 am with separate races for men, women, and kids.  The adult races are 4 miles long, starting near East 68th and ending near West 69th, with the route sticking to the jogging path.  All runners, walkers, and supporters of the event are welcome to visit the Fitness Magazine Mind, Body + Spirit Lounge located on Center Road before and after the event for free samples, classes and demonstrations, exciting giveaways, free gift bags, and more.  On Sunday, cyclists are invited to come to Central Park for a 100-mile bike tour throughout New York City.  Meet at the Harlem Meer near 110th bright and early, at 5:30 am, and select from the 15, 35, 55, 75, or 100 mile options to explore the beauty of New York City on bike.  Register by going to the NYC Century Bike Tour website.  Finally, another Central Park race takes place on Sunday.  The Susan G. Komen 2010 Race for the Cure starts at the American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West at 77th) and makes its way through a 3-mile route, ending near East 72nd in Central Park.  Run or walk the race and enjoy the post-race festivities taking place near Bethesda Terrace.  Proceeds benefit Komen Greater NYC, which fights breast cancer through research, prevention, and raising awareness.
