The “Celebration of Xenakis in Central Park” took place yesterday as part of the Make Music New York Festival, and crowds came out by the many to snag a rowboat.  Those who got one of the free boats were treated to a surround sound performance of Persephassa by Xenakis, all done by six percussionists positioned throughout the Lake.  Live NYC music blog Eardrum NYC came out to enjoy the show, and grabbed some great photos and a video of the event.  Check out their post on the Xenakis event, or click through for more of their photos from Central Park’s Lake.
