Central Park Photos of the Day: Ballet World Record

central-park-ballet-record1 Above, hundreds of ballet dancers converge at Central Park’s Naumburg Bandshell (mid-park, near 70th) and simultaneously stand en pointe to break a Guinness World Record on Monday evening. At least 240 volunteer dancers stood en pointe for one minute and seven seconds, breaking the previous record of 220. Proceeds from the event benefited the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
