It’s good to be Chef…

Marc Murphy, the chef/owner of Upper West Side restaurants Landmarc and Ditch Plains, just closed on a $16.5 million dollar apartment at the famed Beresford (211 Central Park West). He’s now neighbors with Jerry Seinfeld.

The NY Post has a brief story (with an incorrect headline about the apartment being in TriBeCa) and Curbed has some pictures and the rather impressive floor plan. The apartment is a 3 BR, 5 BA corner unit with “a killer view.”

Next time you’re scarfing down a lobster roll at Ditch Plains, you should feel comforted by the fact that you’re doing your part to cover the mortgage.

UPDATE: Just realized this apartment was featured as an “unattainable” apartment of the week in January.
