Clothing Retailer Betsey Johnson Closing; 20% – 50%-Off Liquidation Sale At UWS Location
Catching up on some news that piled up while I was traveling.
Women’s clothing retailer Betsey Johnson filed for bankruptcy protection last month and will be closing all its stores.
The upshot for Upper West Siders is that there’s now a 20% – 50%-off liquidation sale at the 248 Columbus location (between 71st & 72nd).
Thanks to MUW reader Michele for the photo. I’m almost positive someone sent me a link about this earlier in the month, but I can’t find the e-mail — apologies to whomever I’m omitting.
I spoke to someone at the store earlier who wasn’t sure how long the liquidation sale would last. It’s usually best to hit these things early while they still have a lot of inventory. Prices may continue to drop as the sale goes on, but only on things that nobody else wanted.
As a reminder, the liquidation sale at the UWS Strawberry is still going on — they’re offerring 20% – 70% off.
