Columbia Prof Allegedly Assaults Columbia Employee in UWS Bar
A Columbia professor allegedly punched a Columbia University employee in the face at Toast (Broadway at 105th) last Friday, according to the New York Times. According to police reports, Lionel McIntyre, a 59-year-old professor of courses in community development, had a “verbal dispute” with Camille Davis, a theater production manager for the school, before he allegedly punched her in the eye. Ms. Davis suffered from bruising and swelling, but did not file a police report immediately. Neither source could be contacted for comment in the Times‘ story. McIntyre is out on bail, and it is unclear whether he will be suspended from the school.
Toast is a popular Columbia hangout that offers beer and bar food and often becomes filled with academic types kicking back and socializing. It offers a big beer selection and happy hour, guaranteeing a lively crowd.

I read that it was the uptown Toast on 125th street, NOT the 105th street Toast.
Where did you read that? We will double check it with the rest.
