I’m oddly giddy about this…

The one-and-only Jimmie Walker is appearing at the UWS Barnes & Noble tomorrow night to promote his new memoir, appropriately titled Dyn-O-Mite!

Jimmie Walker, a star of the TV show Good Times, who became a singular comedic sensation of the 1970s, talks about his life and career and signs copies of his memoir, Dynomite!

The event starts at 7:00 pm. Barnes & Noble is located at 2282 Broadway (corner of 82nd).

Hollywood Reporter has a review of Mr. Walker’s story, which they call “illuminating, if uneven,” noting that it “reminds readers of his well-earned place in the pantheon of American comedy.”

p.s. It’s Mr. Walker’s 65th birthday today — if you go tomorrow, wish him a happy belated.
