Extell’s Newest Amenity Space Days from Opening

ashley-aldyn-gym1ashley-aldyn-gym2Two Extell Development residential buildings on the Upper West Side are close to completion, and word on the street is that their shared amenity space is gearing up to open.  The Ashley, a rent-stabilized rental building, and The Aldyn, a building with both sales and rentals, are slated to get their fitness center/spa on Monday, November 15th, according to rumors.  The amenity space, located below the two buildings at 63rd between Riverside and West End, is one of the most incredible spaces of its kind in the city, with a top-of-the-line fitness center operated by La Palestra, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam rooms, two-story rock climbing wall, simulated golf driving range, two-lane bowling alley, yoga/pilates/spin classes, and a full-size basketball court.  Residents of The Ashley started moving in this summer, and the building, still busy with construction workers putting on final touches, is now mostly occupied, with tenants eagerly awaiting the opening of the amenity space.  Meanwhile, while The Aldyn is still not quite ready for occupancy, it has already received some high-profile media, from A-Rod checking out an apartment to a fashion-meets-design exhibit on display in the building through December 10th.  Click through for more photos of the amenity space’s current state, indicating just how close it is to opening.
