Famous People Events at Borders this Week


Borders Columbus Circle (Time Warner Center) has some big names scheduled to make an appearance this week, giving you a wide spectrum of famous people you can come out and meet. On Wednesday, saxophonist Ted Nash will be joined by pianist Dan Nimmer as they perform selections from Jazz at Lincoln Centers’ release, Portrait in Seven Shades, which contains a dedication to a different painter in each piece. Nash will also discuss the CD with Ken Drucker from Jazz at Lincoln Center. Come to Borders on Thursday to meet Melissa Rivers as she discusses her book, Red Carpet Ready, which is peppered with colorful and glamorous stories, advice from her mother, Joan Rivers, celebrity commentary, and her personal memories of the biggest names in entertainment. If you are a fan of the queen of all drag queens, come to Borders on Friday, when RuPaul talks about her book, Workin’ It!, a style guide and confidence manifesto. Borders offers so many free ways to enjoy your evenings this week… pick your favorite and make your way over to the store for an interesting time!
