The next Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is just around the corner, with the jam-packed schedule of fashion events scheduled to take place at Lincoln Center from February 9th through February 17th, and designers are starting to pop up into the news as they prepare to show their Fall 2011 collections.  Tommy Hilfiger, who had a massive 25th anniversary party to accompany his show last September, plans to shake things up with next month’s show.  The designer is showing separate men’s and women’s collections this time, with the women’s collection shown under the tents at Lincoln Center on February 13th and featuring consulting by Peter Som.  The men’s collection, featuring consulting by designer Simon Spurr, is slated to take place at Greenwich Village’s posh restaurant The Lion on February 11th. Another designer is preparing for a new Fashion Week routine, according to Page Six.  Rebecca Minkoff, who is best known for her purses and other accessories, is getting ready for her first-ever runway show under the tents, and she is enlisting one lucky contest winner for help.  Minkoff paired up with Polyvore to accept submissions of fashion collages of pieces from her Spring 2011 collection, selecting a winning collage artist to help her style the show.  The winner also gets a trip to New York and a seat in the audience for the show.
